What we collect, why we collect it, who else touches it, and how you get it back or have it erased. No tracking pixels, no advertising profiles, no selling your data: none of that exists here.
When you sign up: your name, email address and whether you are a player or a coach. Your password is never visible to us: it is stored hashed by our authentication provider.
If you are a coach: the profile you build, which is public on purpose. Bio, sports, levels, languages, the areas and venues where you teach, prices, currency, availability, certifications, profile photo and gallery. Optionally a phone number.
If you are a player:your level, the sports you play, your preferred area, and optionally a phone number and photo. When you use "near me", your browser sends your approximate coordinates once to sort the results; we do not store your location history.
As you use Courtigo: session requests and their status, group sessions you join, coaches you follow, favourites, reviews you write, and notification preferences. If you turn on push notifications, the technical address your browser gives us for that device.
Your phone number, if you add one: it is stored apart from the rest of your profile and shared with exactly one person: the coach or player of a session that is confirmed, so you can reach each other on the day. Not with anyone who merely sent you a request, not with other players, not with us for marketing. You can clear it from Settings at any time.
Notes about you: a coach can write private notes on a client after a session. Those notes are visible to that coach and to you, and to nobody else.
Other users:a coach's profile is public, including on search engines. A player's name is visible to the coach they book, and to the other people in a group session they joined. Names of people booked into an open session are visible to the coach and to each participant themselves, never to other players browsing.
Our suppliers, who process data on our instructions and nothing else:
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we have no analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
Only the ones that make login work: a session cookie set when you sign in, so the site knows it's you on the next page. There are no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
Your account data stays while your account exists. Delete your account and the profile, photos, requests, reviews and notes go with it. We may keep a minimal record of a closed account where the law requires it, or where we need it to stop someone who was banned from coming straight back.
You can see and correct most of your data directly in the app, from your profile and Settings. Beyond that you can ask us to give you a copy, correct something, delete it, or stop a particular use.
Deleting your account is self-service: Settings, then Delete my account. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.
For anything else, write to hello@courtigo.app from the address on your account. We answer within 30 days.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to data is enforced by the database itself, row by row, so one account cannot read another's. Passwords are stored hashed. No system is perfect: if something ever goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Courtigo is for adults. If you are a parent booking coaching for a child, the account is yours and you speak to the coach about your child, not the other way round. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect. The date at the top always says which version you are reading.
Data questions and complaints: hello@courtigo.app.
